Kate Middleton and Prince William have headed up to Sandringham for some family time with each other and their kids over Easter, amid the Princess of Wales’ devastating cancer diagnosis.

The New York Post on Monday, March 25, reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales will be spending some much-needed time off this Easter away from their Windsor home, Adelaide Cottage.

The future King and Queen and their three kids, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte, reported took a helicopter to Anmer Hall at the royal’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, on Saturday, March 23, just a day after Kate announced her cancer diagnosis, silencing speculation around her absence.

The Wales’ will reportedly spend Easter at Sandringham with King Charles, who is also battling cancer at the same time as Kate.

While Charles is expected to attend a small Easter service with the royal family, both Kate and William will mark a sombre Easter away from the public eye; they are not expected to attend the royal Easter service this year.

Princess Kate, in a video message released on Friday, shared that her cancer was found during post-operative tests after she underwent abdominal surgery in January, and that she has now started preventative chemotherapy.

It is pertinent to note that Kate is not expected to return to her royal duties any time soon, despite an earlier statement saying that she may resume her duties after Easter.

A royal spokesperson has said, “The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery.”
