Sunrisers Hyderabad smashed the highest total of 277 runs against Mumbai Indians

Sunrisers Hyderabad made the highest total of 277 runs in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday, March 27, against Mumbai Indians.

Sunrisers total (277-3) is the highest total in any T20 franchise tournament, BBC reported.

The highest total record was previously held by Royal Challengers Bangalore, who made 263 runs in 2013.

The highest scorers from the team were Heinrich Klaasen 80 (34) not out, Abhishek Sharma 63 (24), and opener Travis Head 62 (24).

Abhishek Sharma also made the fastest half-century for Sunrisers in IPL from 16 balls.

Mumbai Indians made a strong start in the second inning; Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan made 50 runs in just three overs for the team.

The scoring batsmen for Mumbai Indians were Tilak Varma 64 (34), Tim David 42 (22) not out, and Ishan Kishan 34 (13).

At the end of 20 overs, Mumbai Indians only scored 246 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by 31 runs.
