Taylor Swift ‘blown away’ by Artist of the Year honour at iHeartRadio Music Awards

Taylor Swift wins six big iHeartRadio Music Awards: ‘Thank you for voting for me’


Taylor Swift added yet another feather to her cap by winning Artist of the Year accolade at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, alongwith six other honours in different categories.

Although, the Cruel Summer songstress did not attend the studded event at the Dolby Theater, she shared a heartfelt message for her fans in a pre-recorded video.

“I want to say thank you so much to anyone who voted for this award. iHeart, you have just been so incredibly supportive over the course of my entire career,” said the Midnight hitmaker in her acceptance speech, after receiving the honour from former Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and former NSync member Lance Bass.

She added, “‘especially this year has been pretty spectacular. I'm so grateful for that. To the fans, it's completely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, what music you want to make the soundtrack to your life.”

The Lover crooner continued, “To anyone who has included me in those choices, I'm so, so, so thankful for that. You know, we have so many exciting things ahead of us.”

“Most importantly, I have a new album called The Tortured Poets Department which comes out April 19th. I'm so proud of it,” Swift reminded her fans.

Taylor Swift concluded her message noting, “I cannot wait to share it with you. Thank you for voting for me for Artist of the Year. I can't wait to keep having fun with you guys. We have a lot of exciting things coming up. Thank you so much.”

The Anti-Hero songstress recently won the Grammy award for Album of the Year for Midnights.
