Shah Rukh Khan costed Don 2 financers 2.5 crore INR in damages by crashing a stunt car out of “overconfidence.”

Actor Alyy Khan, who played J. K. Diwan in the film, recalled the incident in an interview with Dawn News.

It rolled out in Berlin while shooting for a chase scene, where he was sitting in the front passenger seat whereas the superstar was present behind the wheel.

Meanwhile, director Farhan Akhtar was hiding in the backseat. The car also had camera equipment rigged inside, overall valuing it at around 2.5 crore INR.

In the sequence, Priyanka Chopra had to drive up to their vehicle, followed by Shah Rukh Khan saying, “Don ko pakarna mushkil he nahin, naamumkin hai,” then driving away on a blast.

Alyy Khan noted that his co-actor was quite confident about his driving skills.

In the first take, he got the shot right, thus earning appreciation.

But the second one ended with a huge financial dent.

Priyanka Chopra correctly pulled over. She exchanged a look with Don, who missed his turning mark right this time.

“As he turned left, because he was late by a couple of seconds, the other stunt rammed directly into us. Immediately, Shah Rukh Khan looked at me and asked if I was okay,” Alyy Khan narrated.

He added, “Everyone gathered around, checking if everything was okay. But there was a loss of €300,000 because the camera equipment had been damaged. Gone in a flash.”
