Prince Harry allegedly passed a 'rude' remark at the press accompanying him, Meghan Markle on a royal tour

Prince Harry’s alleged misbehaviour, in the form of rude remarks, has been revealed by a journalist who accompanied the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, on an important royal tour, Cheat Sheet reported.

Former royal correspondent and author of several books, Valentine Low, travelled with the Sussexes on their first official royal tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand, and has claimed that Harry was less than welcoming of the press accompanying them.

Talking on the A Right Royal Podcast, Low shared, “We were flying from Tonga back to Sydney. And often on these tours, there comes a point towards the end when the royal might come back to the back of the plane and have a chat with us off the record, you know, not for printing, but it’s a way of making bonds. It’s a way of keeping us sweet. It’s a way of having informal contact.”

Adding how the press was promised the same while travelling with Harry and Meghan, Low revealed that ‘it didn’t happen.’

“It didn’t happen and this was a four or five-hour flight. When’s this gonna happen? Then we were buckling up for the descent and we landed. And it hadn’t happened. And only after we landed, the Sussexes came back into the back of the plane,” the former reporter said.

Low further shared, “Harry was slightly in front of Meghan, she was slightly behind him. And she didn’t say much. She did make some strange remark about us wanting to get back for our Sunday lunch, and it was completely bizarre.”

However, it was Prince Harry’s remark that threw the team off, Low revealed, saying, “He said, ‘Thanks very much for coming, even though you weren’t invited.’ And we thought, ‘What?'”

According to the author, the comment left the press on plane awestruck, with many of them finding the comment ‘rude’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on their first official royal tour around Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand in October, 2018, five months after tying the knot in May, 2018.
