Backstreet Boys have raised a glass to their second studio album, Millennium, as its debut has completed 25 years since release on May 18, 1999.

Marking a salute, the boy band passed the word for this occasion through a post on their Instagram profile so followers could memorialize the event with them.

Getting cheery, they wrote, “Celebrating 25 years of Millennium, and it still feels like we’ve only just begun. We will forever be thankful for this album and all the memories that came along with it.”

“We are continually inspired by the stories you share about how much the record meant to you,” Backstreet Boys added.

Along with this message, they attached a video as a throwback recounting the mega success of their song, I Want It That Way, from the said collection.

It included snippets from its music video as well as a concert footage of fans fervently screaming and shouting for the band back during their heightened fame days.

Remembering it all, the group decided to cherish more of such flashbacks by starting a fun activity for admirers.

“To celebrate, we want you guys to share your memories with each other, and maybe find a few new friends along the way. We’ll be sharing them all week!” Backstreet Boys announced.
