Prince Harry’s years-long royal rift with the royal family, especially his father King Charles and brother Prince William, has deepened after his short trip to the UK earlier this month.
According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the Duke of Sussex left the UK at a more bitter note than he came in with, despite hopes of a reconciliation; Harry was reportedly refused a meeting with Charles while in the UK.
Talking about this, Fitzwilliams told Mirror UK, “The depth of the rift with the Royal Family has, if anything, deepened after Harry’s recent visit.”
Fitzwilliam also highlighted the “utterly bizarre subsequent controversy over whether his father was too busy to meet him which is extremely unhelpful as he needs to project a positive image. “
The expert then went on share some advice with Harry and his wife Meghan, saying: “If they are to thrive and not just survive, they must avoid offending the Royal Family, their attacks have cost both them and the royals’ popularity and made them appear extremely destructive and also hypocritical over the issue of privacy.”
Prince Harry landed in the UK on May 7 to attend the 10th anniversary thanksgiving service for the Invictus Games Foundation.
