The Voice winner, Asher HaVon, has praised coach Reba McEntire and shared his experience of participating in the hit show.
On Tuesday, Asher was crowned a champion as he made history by becoming Reba's first winner.
During a conversation with ET, Asher shared his excitement, "I am so proud to be a part of that community, and I just pray that everything that I've done on this show have inspired them all that, they can do the same thing.”
He applauded his coach, "Working with a queen like this.”
Reba then got candid about her “wonderful” experience of participating in The Voice as a coach.
"But I got to say something about The Voice -- look how Asher is dressed," she praised the winner, "Every time you got on stage, you looked regal. You presented yourself with regalness. I was so proud of him."
The duo got emotional after this heartfelt exchange so Asher cracked a joke, "I put too much mascara on!"
"But I was so excited," he continued, "My heart was filled with so much gratitude and to look at Reba and to see her excitement, it was everything."
For the unversed, Asher started his singing career in church before he became the choir director.
