Zayn Malik has expressed of missing London, a while after claiming that everyone in his British-Irish boy band, One Direction, “resented each other.”

On Saturday, May 25, he posted black-and-white pictures taken at a recent performance in the city.

Along with them, the singer wrote, “Been 8 days since I performed at London’s O2 SBE… my first gig in over 8 years. The amount of outpouring love and support I felt has left me speechless.”

“All I can say is thank you. I can’t wait to see you again. Forever grateful to each and every one of you who have supported me throughout the years and made this possible. See you again soon,” he added.

It comes off as a surprise to fans that Zayn Malik immensely misses London, where he made the most number of memories associated with One Direction and was also the first one to leave.

The band was in fact formed in that city only.

Then, the five of them together went on to record many songs, perform at 2012 Olympics’ closing ceremony, sell out shows, launch perfume, unveil wax statues, and do many other historical things there.

Speaking at The Zach Sang Show recently, Zayn Malik said, “And you know, we resented each other because we were solo artists that were put in a band, and we should have never felt that way.”
