Tom Cruise 'Mission: Impossible 8' faces another delay due to THIS reason

Tom Cruise's eighth Mission: Impossible film faces yet another production delay due to a £23 million submarine malfunction.

According to Dailymail, the upcoming movie of the Top Gun actor faced delays because the gimbal, used to lower the 120-foot-high structure, got stuck under its weight and needed repairs.

The filming schedule has been postponed by several weeks, leading to a significant increase in the film's costs.

A source told The Mirror, “They’re not happy as it puts production behind, which costs a lot of money per day.”

Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One was released in cinemas last year, but production on the second part, faced delays due to the Hollywood writers’ strike.

The movie was originally scheduled to be released this summer, but it was delayed and is now set to premiere in May 2025.

Due to additional delays, the exact premiere date is currently unknown.

To note, the major chunk of the highly-awaited instalment has been filmed in the UK at Longcross studios, as Tom Cruise spotted multiple times in his character as agent Ethan Hunt.

The series of Mission: Impossible films, which started in 1996, is adapted from a TV series with the same name that aired in 1966.
