Normal People costars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, who played Marianne and Connell in the series, left their fans curious after hinting at potential season 2 of the hit miniseries.
The Where the Crawdads Sing actress took to her Instagram account on Tuesday to tease a new season of Normal People.
Daisy posted a cute selfie on her Instagram story with Normal People costar Mescal, flashing peace signs and beaming smiles.
Alongside the selfie, she penned a cryptic caption, seemingly hinting at the sequel of the miniseries.
"We've got some news to share!!, Watch this space," the actress noted.
Besides Daisy, Element Pictures, the production company behind the series, also shared the same photo on their Instagram account, fueling fan’s excitement.
Normal People season 1, which is based on the Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel of the same name garnered immese praises shortly after its release in 2020.
The miniseries, which has 12-epsiodes in first season, was aired on BBC Three in the United Kingdom on April 26, 2020, followed by weekly airings on BBC One.
Moreover, the show was also premiered on Hulu on April 29, 2020.
Although the new season of Normal People is not confirmed officially, but fans are getting their hopes high for season 2 after Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal's hint.
