Glen Powell has an exciting update for Top Gun fans!
In an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast alongside Twisters co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones, the Anyone but You actor strongly suggested that he is aware of the filming schedule of the upcoming sequel to his 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick.
During the podcast, host Josh Horowitz asked Powell and the Cold Feet actress whether the audience could expect Top Gun 3 or a sequel to Edgar-Jones' 2020 miniseries Normal People sooner, to which Powell replied, "I mean, I have a date."
"Do you have a date?" Powell asked the Normal People star, who shrugged off the idea of a follow-up series, "Okay. Then probably me," said the actor.
Coming back to the Twisters actor, the host inquired if he had any news to share, to which Powell deadpanned, "Absolutely not."
"Josh, we should go to the next question," he urged, in response to the host asking if Powell had more details on the follow-up film that he could not reveal.
The 2022 action drama film Top Gun: Maverick starred Glen Powell alongside Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, and Jon Hamm.
Released on May 27, 2022, by Paramount Pictures, the movie became the highest-grossing film of the year in the US and Canada, with a global net gross of $1.496 billion.
