Rebecca Ferguson has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie at Netflix, teaming up with Cillian Murphy.

According to Deadline, the Mission: Impossible star is the first well-known name put against the previously revealed Oppenheimer star.

However, the details about Ferguson’s role are being kept under wraps.

Last month outlet reported that Netflix has approved a film, which will see Murphy reprise his legendary role as Tommy Shelby, the head of the eponymous Birmingham criminal family.

Steven Knight, the creator will wrote the script, which Tom Harper is directing.

Guy Heeley, Knight, Murphy, and Caryn Mandabach are the producers. Harper, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, David Mason, David Kosse, and Jamie Glazebrook are executive producers.

In collaboration with BBC Film, a feature film will be produced.

Although Knight revealed to the outlet in April that the movie scenario would take place during World War II, plot specifics are being kept under wraps.

According to the reports, the production of the film will be kicked off in this year.

Ferguson most recently appeared in Denis Villeneuve's $712 million worldwide grossing Dune: Part Two, reprising her role as Lady Jessica.

In addition, she is well-known for her roles opposite Tom Cruise in three Mission: Impossible films, including Dead Reckoning: Part One from last summer.

She also recently ended up filming MGM Studios' sci-fi thriller Mercy, which starred Chris Pratt.
