Pakistani actress, Saba Bukhari appeared in an interview and talked about her casting couch experiences and nepotism in entertainment industry.
While speaking about revealing dark side of showbiz industry, Bukhari said, “Nepotism is thriving in the entertainment industry, Saba Bukhari said, “I did not have any kind of popularity on social media so I was scared that this might harm my career. I went to my mother to talk about this, and then I was shocked by how many people were reacting positively to my post.”
The actress revealed she was harassed by prominent crew and cast members. She also talked about nepotism and shared, “There are some actors who make film sets even a quite difficult place to sit in. I remember this accomplished actress was sitting right in front of me and she began insulting my face, and complained ‘where do they even pick up these useless girls from‘. She said it directly to my face that I should leave acting, because I will never be able to make it here.”
She added, “You know how people say that there is no such thing like nepotism? That’s a complete lie. Countless people from rich families are the ones able to make it far, their parents are able to get contacts and secure them good roles. It makes it even harder for people like me to secure a good acting role.”
