A steamy moment between French President Emmanuel Macron and Sports Minister Amelie Oudea-Castera during the Olympic opening ceremony has sent the internet into buzz.
In a picture that went viral on the internet, President Macron can be seen sharing an affectionate embrace with the sports minister.
The French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal can also be seen awkwardly looking the other way as the two get closer.
According to The Telegraph, a prominent French publication, Madame Fiagro called the picture ‘strange’ and asserted that Oudea-Castera “certainly knows how to get people talking about her.”
The internet also clearly did not like the movement between president and minister, as a user wrote, “Gabriel Attal, he pretends to look elsewhere! He doesn’t know where to stand!”
The other showed disapproval, saying, “I find this photo indecent, it’s not worthy of a president and a minister.”
The third one asked, “What's this kiss between Oudéa and Macron??!” while the other commentator added, “Brigitte (Macron's wife) won’t like it.”
