King Charles was received by a large wave of people upon arriving in Scotland today, on July 31.

Just on his first day there, he was invited for unveiling a plaque for Forsinard Flows at an event hosted to formally assign it a World Heritage Site status by UNESCO.

There, Your Majesty mingled with politicians, scientists, and other delegates, coming in to especially have a look at him in person.

According to The Northern Times, he showed “great interest” in this respectable project and turned out to be “very knowledgeable” and “well-informed” on the matter.

This expertise of King Charles was noted by attendees when they were discussing peatland restoration as well as the importance of giving World Heritage Site status to different locations around the world.

Pictures of him were taken as he joked around a barbeque station, chatted with the event’s organizers, and commemorated the plaque.

Your Majesty was also treated to a group of local musicians playing away tunes on their violins and an accordion.

A local resident was seen explaining meat-cooking to King Charles, who was eventually escorted to sign the grand visitor’s book at the end of his tour.
