Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Thursday, August 1, a visa-free policy for the citizens of China.

The prime minister said that the new facility for Chinese citizens will be available from August 14, the independence day of Pakistan, during a meeting with a 12-member Chinese delegation led by Minister Wang Fukang, reported local media.

Sharif also pledged that Pakistan will ensure the security of Chinese citizens in the country and that any unpleasant event will not happen again, referring to the tragic incident in Bisham where Chinese citizens were killed.

Moreover, the premier, while addressing the media after the meeting, informed that the two countries will work together on several areas to enhance collaboration, including IT, economics, minerals, and agriculture.

Sharif emphasised that China’s cooperation will help Pakistan export high-demand agricultural products to China.

The prime minister, while talking about the relationship between Pakistan and China, said, “China and Pakistan share an eternal bond of friendship. We are keen on joint ventures and corporations in China’s advanced industrial sectors. Our friendship is higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the deep sea.
