
The trailer of an upcoming documentary titled Cher & The Loneliest Elephant has been released. It tells Kaavan’s journey from being stuck in a Pakistani zoo to going to a sanctuary in Cambodia.
The documentary also highlights the struggles American singer, Cher had to face in order to free the 36-year-old Kaavan. It will be released on Earth Day, 22nd April and will stream on Paramount+.
The teaser takes watchers on a “touching journey about humans, animals, and our connection to all living beings on earth.”
The video begins with the American pop icon in Islamabad, Pakistan, talking about the route to the zoo where Kaavan was kept.
Cher said at the beginning of the clip, “I could see him from the distance. He was shackled. He was suffering. Elephants are just like we are: They are so family-oriented and emotional. And so, I wanted to free him.”
Then the trailer shows several experts telling about Kaavan’s journey. The video also highlights everyone’s efforts to send Kaavan to a new sanctuary.
Cher said, “We put together the right team. We had to get him out. We just didn’t stop fighting.”
