Pakistani actor Ali Safina has given remarkable comic performances in several hits serials and films. The actor was lauded for his performance in Geo TV’s Baraat series including, Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat as well.
Recently, the Jalaibee famed actor has been criticized for his character in Ramadan special TV series Chupke Chupke.
The viewers were unhappy with the idea of Safina’s character Miskeen Ali living at his in-laws as ghar damad.
Safina’s character has sparked a heated debate on social media as netizens saying that the drama is showing live-in sons-in-law in poor light.
An internet user asked Safina, 37, how he feels about the criticism on his role of a ghar damad.
Responding to the question, the Suno Chanda actor said, “Bhai jab Miskeen bhai apni family k saath khush hai to logon ko kya fikar hai? Chill karein sab and enjoy the show (If Miskeen is happy with his family then why are people worried? Chill and enjoy the drama).”
Miskeen (played by Safina) is married to Gul-e-Rana (played by Mira Sethi) and lives in his wife’s house with her family. His duty is to look after the kitchen and to do all the other house chores.

Netizens also expressed their distress how Miskeen’s in-laws and wife never leave a chance to ridicule him and mock him for being “useless.”
Earlier, Osman Khalid Butt, who plays the lead in the drama, had justified the character saying that Miskeen is ridiculed because he refuses to work even though he has an opportunity to join the family business. “And while he’s played for broad comedy, has his own arc,” he had added.
Chupke Chupke is written by Saima Akram Chaudhry and directed by Danish Nawaz. The cast includes actors, Ayeza Khan, Asma Abbas, Farhan Ali Agha, Aymen Saleem, Arsalan Naseer, Mira Sethi and Tara Mahmood besides Butt and Safina.
