Azekah Daniel is opening up about the struggles of being a minority in Pakistan.
The Cheekh actress, who is a Christian by faith, reveals that although the Pakistani drama industry is progressive, there have been times when she has been bashed and trolled by netizens.
“I think it doesn’t make much difference, for those it matters they make it obvious but it’s not such a big deal I guess. Now, what’s in the hearts of people is not obvious but there isn’t any open discrimination as such," said Azekah while speaking on Gup Shup.
Having said that, Azekah revealed that there have been times when she faced discrimination due to her religion.
“You keep on getting in such situations. The industry itself is very liberal, but I have to face discrimination in other matters, which is okay I guess because you have to face it anywhere if you are a minority. You just accept it and live with it and not make any big issue out of it because this is how the world runs” said Azekah.
