Prince Harry recently upset one of his closest pals, Charles Lord Vivian, after he missed his wedding function during his surprise return to the United Kingdom.

An insider has revealed to Mail Online that the Duke of Sussex’s pal, who tied the knot with Saweda Kamara over the weekend, did not know why Harry did not attend his intimate ceremony.

Despite being invited by Vivian, the father-of-two intentionally skipped the wedding.

The tipster stated, "The duke has since got in touch to say 'the main reason' for his absence was that 'security wasn't provided for the visit, which makes attending events or moving around the UK very challenging."

Vivian told the aforementioned outlet about the 40-year-old British Royal Family member’s absence from his special day, he said, "I don't know. He has a lot on."

According to People, Harry's pal Vivian was among the guests at his high-profile wedding with Meghan Markle in May 2018.

This report came after the duke stepped out in London to attend the two-day court proceedings to challenge the British government’s decision to downgrade his level of taxpayer-funded security while he is visiting the UK.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were stepping down as senior royal members in 2020, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) decided the couple would no longer be given the "same degree" of protection when in the country.

While he no longer uses the HRH title, Harry is still a member of the British royal family and fifth in line to the throne.

As of now, Prince Harry has not revealed the reason for not attending his friend's wedding function.
