King Charles and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had their first official meeting on the third day of his state visit to Rome.
Taking to its Instagram account on Wednesday, April 9, the British Royal Family shared a carousel of heartwarming photos from their lighthearted encounter.
In the images, the two leaders could be seen strolling through the beautiful gardens and Baroque architecture of the Villa Doria Pamphili, laughing their hearts out.
For the meeting, Meloni wore an elegant cream suit and white heels while King Charles looked dapper in a black suit paired with white tie.
“Their Majesties’ third day in Rome has begun!” the palace wrote in the caption.
It further added, “At the beautiful Villa Doria Pamphilj, The King met the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.”
The PM welcomed King Charles onto the red carpet for his first engagement of the third day of the visit.
Queen Rania of Jordan was also in attendance, wearing a form-fitting long-sleeved burgundy dress with matching Mary Jane style patent heels.
This marks as the first time the King has met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
