Prince William has landed in the Vatican to attend the funeral mass of Pope Francis.

On Saturday, April 26, GB News reported that the Prince of Wales has arrived in Rome and paid his respects to the late Pope’s coffin.

The Prince, who will be attending the funeral mass in St Peter’s Basilica along with several international royals and world leaders, was spotted in a navy suit paired with white shirt and black tie.

At the late Argentinian Pontiff’s last rituals, William was seated among the non-Catholic royals in the second row as the future head of the Church of England.

Sitting besides Prince William was the Norwegian Crown Prince Couple, Haakon and Mette-Marit.

Meanwhile, in the front row were seated the Catholic royals, including Monaco’s Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, Spain’s Queen Letizia, and Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.

Pope Francis’s death:

On Easter Monday, April 21, Cardinal Kevin Farrell released a video statement in which he announced the death of Pope Francis at the age of 88.

“Dear brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father,” he stated.

Pope Francis’s cause of death:

As per Pope Francis’s death certificate issued by Vatican doctor Andrea Arcangeli, the late pontiff’s cause of death was a stroke and irreversible cardiovascular arrest.
