Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has urged fans to “send love” to Charlie Kirk’s family following the conservative activist’s “terrible” death.
While performing on stage at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday, the All of Me singer paused the show to pay a special tribute to late American conservative political activist.
“Let’s raise our hands like this and send love, anywhere you want to send it in the world,” Martin began.
He added, “You can send this to your brother or your sister, you can send it to the families of people who have been going through terrible stuff, you can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family.”
The Imagine Dragons singer went on to share, “You can send it to people you disagree with, but you send them love anyway. You can send it to peaceful people in the Middle East, in Ukraine and Russia,” before performing their hit song Fix You.
In the TikTok video, Martin, 48, is spotted lifting his arms high and playfully wiggling his fingers as the crowd mirrors his moves.
On Thursday, Kirk died at age 31 after suffering a fatal sniper’s shot while speaking on campus at Utah Valley University, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City.
Tyler Robinson, 22, of Washington, Utah, was arrested on Friday and faces aggravated murder charges.
