
King Charles and Queen Camilla have welcomed the US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at Windsor Castle.
On Wednesday, September 17, the British Royal Family took to Instagram to share an update about the high-profile banquet at the royal residence, reporting that the monarch and Queen Consort hosted the US Presidential Couple.
“This evening, The King and Queen welcomed President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to a State Banquet held in their honour at Windsor Castle,” read the caption.
In the post, the Royals also shared a photo from the event, featuring the Royal Couple with Donald and Melania Trump.
For the high-stakes event, King Charles wore an evening attire that included a black tailcoat, white waistcoat, and white bow tie.
He accessorised the outfit with Blue sash of the Order of the Garter, Garter star, and miniature medas and ribbons.
The snap featured Queen Camilla is a full-length blue gown, featuring sparkling details at the bottom. To accessorise the look, King Charles’s wife the Belgian Sapphire Tiara, sash and star of the Order of the Garter, Royal Family Order, and a couple of statement jewelries.
Standing next to the royal couple were Donald Trump, dressed in a black-and-white suit, and Melania Trump, wearing an off-shoulder yellow gown paired with a wide lilac belt that highlighted her waist.
