Arjun Kapoor has disclosed why he took up acting as an career.
As reported by Pinkvilla, the celebrity said, “I never planned to become an actor, but I fell in love with the movies as I spent more and more time observing how passionate people were in this industry to provide entertainment.”
He added, “To explore, I just wanted to act and face the camera. Was never fixated on what I was selected to play. I wanted to feel the same passion that I had seen actors feel. Wanted to feel the rush and work very hard.”
Recalling the time when he was chosen to play the lead for his 2012 hit, Ishaqzaade, Arjun explained that producer Aditya Chopra approached him without revealing that he’s being auditioned for the said role.
This was solely because the celebrity had a burning enthusiasm for playing characters on screen.
“Aditya saw that I had the fire in me to perform as a hero. I never auditioned knowing I was being tested for the lead in Ishaqzaade! I was overwhelmed. I still remember the day. It was probably one of the happiest days of my life,” he expressed.
Moving on to professional insecurities, Arjun remarked, “I’m doing what I love every single day, so I have never been an insecure actor. I have played the lead and now I’m playing an out and out anti-hero!”
For him, there’s no difference between being signed for the movie’s villain and the protagonist. Both of these parts weigh equally in its making.
After being seen as a good guy in all of his films before, he will be appearing as a fierce bad guy in director Rohit Shetty’s Sigham Again for the first time.
