
Ed Sheeran marked seven years of his hit album Seven on March 4, 2024, with cute throwback photo dump.
Taking to his Instagram account on Monday to take his fans on a walk down the memory lane to the release of his album, Divide, with old photos, featuring Rihanna, pals Damien Hirst, Zoey Deutch, John McDaid and others.
The carousel was based on 10 old photos from Sheeran’s archive, alongside a long explanation in the caption for each click.
“Divide 7th anniversary throwback dumpingto. Explanations below,” wrote the Shape of You hit maker.
He went on to explain every photo in series from the first to the last.
First photo was clicked at the Grammys with Rihanna, where he was telling the singer that Shape of You was originally written with her in Sheeran’s mind.
While in the next picture, “Me and @missjpeg on the set of Shape of You after the sumo fight,” and the third was captured, “Just after finishing painting the cover with @damienhirst.”
He went on to explain that in the fourth photo, he was “Strapped up ready to roll for the Galway Girl vid.” and in the next picture he was “Celebrating with @rokstoneprod and @jmd_snowpatrol Shape of You going #1 worldwide with a bottle of champs we didn’t end up drinking, it’s still in my cellar, being saved for a special occasion.”
