Sara Ali Khan marked International Women’s Day with a heartfelt tribute to her mother Amrita Singh and the Indian patriot, Usha Mehta.
The Zara Hatke Zara Bachke actress turned to her Instagram account to share a video of herself, in which she could be seen singing praises for her mother, Saif Ali Khan’s ex-wife, who is an inspiration for her daughter.
In the video message, which was recorded during her appearance at Radio Mirchi 98.3, and accompanied by adorable photos of Sara and her mother, she praised Amrita noting, that “on the special occasion of Women’s Day, I want to talk to you about my favourite woman, and that is my mother.”
Sara also admitted that she draws inspiration from her mother, who is also her motivation.”
Meanwhile, the Love Aaj Kal 2 actress also acknowledged the courage and patriotism of the Indian patriot Usha Mehta, who left her family and home at a very young age to dedicate herself for the independence of India, through a private radio station.

The video, which also showcased the visuals from Sara’s upcoming film Ae Watan Mere Watan had a sweet caption, which read, “Always remember that each time a woman stands up for herself she stands up for all women. And also remember that bravery and strength come in all shapes and sizes. So just be you. Accept yourself. Believe in yourself. Embrace yourself. And then fly. Happy Women’s Day.”
Sara Ali Khan concluded her video message with a wish to all the women.
Sara is playing the character of Usha Mehta in Ae Watan Mere Watan, premiering on Amazon Prime Videos on March 21, 2024.
