Josh Brolin brought his signature energy back to Studio 8H as he hosted the latest episode of Saturday Night Live after 12 years.
The episode, which aired on March 9, marked the third time the Dune: Part Two star graced the stage of NBC’s iconic comedy sketch show.
Entertainment Tonight reported that Brolin's first hosting gig was in 2008, later he made a return to SNL in 2012, expressing gratitude to Lorne Michaels for creating the "greatest show on Earth."
As Brolin, 56, stepped onto the stage for Saturday’s episode, he basked in thunderous cheers and applause from the lively audience.
"I love being here," he began his four-minute monologue, noting the gap of 12 years since his last hosting stint.
"I’ve missed this place, I mean, so much has changed," then he looked around the studio and quipped, "Not really it’s the same."
The night's host reminisced about his previous appearances on the show, recalling his 2008 episode with musical guest, "someone of I’ve never heard before…Adele…now she is global superstar."
He also mentioned the presence of Gotye as the musical guest in his 2012 episode.
During his monologue, Brolin highlighted several milestones of the past 12 years, including Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg’s friendship and playing Thanos, dubbing the time as "It’s been a good 12 years."
