The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton set the record straight regarding her Mother’s Day photo, which came out on Sunday, March 10, 2024, after two-month hiatus following her abdominal surgery in January.
Kate’s highly anticipated photo, which was shared by the royal family in an attempt to end the controversies regarding her health, became the target of new ones.
The newly posted photo left the top news and photo agencies expressing their fears that Kate's new picture with her kids might be “manipulated.”
However, on Monday, the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a statement which read, “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”
The statement by Kate Middleton added, “I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day.”
The photo, which came out on UK’s Mother’s Day on March 10, 2024 was taken by the Prince of Wales, William, at the Windsor castle.
The adorable click featured Kate Middleton happy and in good health, flashing a wide smile with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
However, the photo was recalled by the top five agencies like Shutterstock, Getty, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, and Reuters, putting out a “kill notice” to stop the distribution of Kate’s new click.
The AP notice said, “At closer inspection, it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”
