
Taylor Swift now ranks among the world's wealthiest individuals, alongside Elon Musk and other billionaires.
According to the recent report of Forbes Billionaires List, the American singer and song writer Taylor swift has officially entered among the world’s richest people for the first time with the estimated net worth of $1.1 billion as of April 2, 2024.
As per Forbes, Swift is the first artist to ascend to the top solely through her music and live performances alongside a music catalog worth $500 million and approximately $125 million in real estate holdings.
The reports further suggest in a record 2,781 billionaires for 2024, the LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault and his family topped the chart with an estimated $233bn (£185bn).
After Bernard Arnault and his family, Elon Musk, the proprietor of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), holds the second position on the list with an estimated net worth of $195 billion (£155 billion).
While, Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon marked the third position among the richest people.
Chase Peterson-Withorn, Forbes' senior editor focusing on wealth, described the year as "remarkable" for the wealthiest individuals globally.
He also noted that "a record 14 centi-billionaires now possess fortunes in the twelve-figure range, even during times of financial uncertainty for many, the super-rich continue to thrive."
In addition to this, George Lucas, renowned for his direction of Star Wars, holds the title of the wealthiest celebrity on the list, primarily due to the sale of his production company Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.
Alongside the Midnights hit maker, Jay-Z and Rihanna are the only musicians featured on the 2024 list.
