The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir has invited the Pakistani cricket team for the iftar dinner.

As confirmed by the sources, the COAS will host the cricket team on April 7 in Rawalpindi, where they will have an iftar dinner alongside the army personnel.

Currently, the cricket team is taking part in a fitness camp at the Army School of Physical Training in Kakul, Abbottabad.

Moreover, the fitness camp, which began on March 26 and was set to end on April 8, will now conclude a day earlier.

The players will leave Abbottabad for Rawalpindi on April 7 to have an iftar dinner with the army chief.

On Monday, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, visited fitness training camp and extended his gratitude to the army for their invaluable support and organizing the camp.

The Pakistan Army trainers are conducting a fitness camp for the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand.

Pakistan and New Zealand will play five T20s in Pakistan, three in Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on 18, 20 and 21 April.

The remaining two matches will be played in Lahore on 25 and 27 April.
