Eminem's twelfth studio album 'The Death of Slim Shady' releasing this summer

Eminem left fans excited with the announcement of his 12th studio album

Eminem is back with his new album The Death of Slim Shady - slated for a  summer release!

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Without Me singer dropped a teaser that aired prior to his appearance at the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

The trailer kicked off with a fictional true crime reporter, who announced the death of Eminem’s alter ego, which has been a part of his personality since his slim shady EP in 1997.

“Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the reporter in the clip stated.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent then chimed in, “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”

"The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady,” the clip added.

Eminem’s new album came just four years after the rapper’s most recent song Music to Be Murdered By released in January 2020.

Earlier this month, Eminem blessed feeds on April fool’s Day by sharing a surprise album drop which actually never arrived.
