Bella Hadid has become an advocate as she came forward to raise her voice for the ongoing atrocities in Palestine by Israeli forces.

Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday, the model shared the details of her Cannes outfit that she donned to stand in solidarity with Palestine.

In a posted snaps, Hadid wore a vintage red-and-white dress featuring the striking checkered pattern and fringe of a keffiyeh scarf.

While sharing details she noted in the caption, “Palestine on my mind, in my blood and on my heart. Always… While I still have to go to work , even through this horror, to wear our culture makes me a proud Palestinian & I want the world to continue to see Palestine, wherever we go.”

She continued, “I want to highlight designers that have highlighted the Palestinian cause through the years.”

"This is a Kiffiyeh dress, made by #michaelandhushi @hushi5 in 2001," Hadid added.

Mentioning her Kiffiyeh dress, Hadid stated, “a beautiful way to represent the history, labor of love, resilience and, most importantly, the art of historic Palestinian embroidery.”

She also asked fans to “educate yourself on the ongoing occupation and genocide that is happening RIGHT NOW in Gaza.”

Explaining, “Palestinian Kiffiyeh,” Hadid wrote, “the patterns on the Palestinian keffiyeh symbolize various themes: Olive leaves: Strength, resilience, perseverance.”

She described, “The larger part of the of keffiyeh is the fishnet pattern,” showing, “the relationship between the Palestinian fisherman and the sea. It symbolizes abundance and grace, and also means Freedom.”

Also mentioned that “Palestinians living in the West Bank, and have no access to the sea, due to restricted movement.”

Hadid defined, in Keffiyeh, “Sea Waves: Resemble the strength, and resilience of our communities” but some suggested “that the resemblance come from the olive leaves which is also an important symbol.”

“Bold: Represents the trade routes going through Palestine which played a vital role in carving the history,” she noted.

Bella Hadid concluded her post, “With that being said …. ALL EYES ON RAFAH.”
