Queen Máxima has marked International Women’s Day 2025 with an emphasis on better and equal healthcare for women.
In a new post shared by the Dutch Royal Family on Saturday, March 8, it was reported that the Queen attended a meeting on improving women’s health, which was organized by WOMEN Inc. at Amsterdam UMC.
The Palace mentioned that for years, medical research used to pay much of its attention on men, treating their bodies as the standard and neglecting women’s health.
This led to delayed diagnoses of certain diseases in women as compared to men, such as cardiovascular diseases.
“Research and treatments for female-specific conditions also lag behind, such as hormone-related things like extreme menstrual complaints, menopause or endometriosis,” the caption stated.
