Liverpool Football Club recently revealed their plans for more permanent tributes to Diogo Jota following his tragic death earlier this month.

Diogo and his brother Andre Silva died three weeks ago when their car went off the road and caught fire on the A-52 motorway in Cernadilla, a town in the Zamora province of Spain.

As per the reports, Diogo was travelling back to Liverpool as doctors had adviced him not to fly for about six weeks after he had lung surgery to fix a broken rib.

Since then, the club has been in a state of mourning with fans and players from around the world have visited to pay their respects with flowers, shirts and written messages outside Anfield.

As per the reports, now Diogo will be forever remembered with a statue placed outside Anfieled stadium with the final design of the statue hasn't been chosen yet.

The Club also confirmed that they have collected all the flowers, messages and items left by fans in tribute to Diogo and have stored them carefully.

It further revealed that the flowers will be turned into compost and used in gardens around the stadium and the other items will be recycled to help create a statue of Diogo.

Beside this, the team's new kit for the 2025-26 season, launching on August 1 by adidas, will include a special "Forever 20" emblem to honour Diogo, who wore the number 20 shirt.

Also, Fans can choose to print "Diogo J 20" on their shirts from the club's official store and the money earned will go to the club's charity, the LFC foundation.

Along with this, flowers will also be placed in his memory at all major Liverpool locations, including the training center and the women's team HQ.

Moreover, at the first game of the season on August 15 against Bournemouth at Anfield, there will be a special fan mosaic and a minute of silence to honour him.
