
Kanye West had settled the Donda Academy case just weeks before the lawsuit was set to begin.
The Yeezy founder faced charges of wrongful termination and unpaid wages, filed by his two teachers, Cecilia Hailey and her daughter Chekarey Byers, from his organisation, Donda Academy, in April 2023.

The 47-year-old Grammy-winning artist has resolved the matter by agreeing to conditional compensation with plaintiff Cecilia Hailey.
As reported by People, the Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered West to fulfill his part of the settlement within 45 days.
Afterwards, Hailey will submit her request to dismiss the case in court.
For those unaware, the lawsuit was filed in 2023 by the two teachers at the private school the rapper named after his late mother Donda. A third Donda Academy teacher, Timanii Meeks, joined the case on June 1, 2023.
Rolling Stones reported that Hailey, Byers, and Meeks mentioned in their respective lawsuits that West's Academy had violated several Department of Education requirements that affected its employees' well-being.
They also claimed that they were terminated in March 2023 after discussing their concerns with the management.
According to the California Department of Education, Kanye West’s private school, Donda Academy, was closed by the authorities in June 2024.

As of now, neither the rap icon nor his public relations team have publicly commented on the matter.
