Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, welcomed the USA’s 47th President, Donald Trump and First Lady, Melania Trump, for the highly anticipated state visit.

The couple touched down at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, September 17, where they received a warm welcome from the Prince and Princess of Wales.

According to the BBC, the pair stepped out from a private plane on the grounds of Castle, and were greeted by William and Kate, before meeting King Charles and Queen Camilla.

For the historical royal event, the future Queen opted for a long maroon dress, which she carried with a matching hat and brown bag.

Meanwhile, the next heir to the British throne was in a long coat and under his black suit.

After receiving Donald Trump and Melania, William and Kate walked alongside them until they reunited with Their Majesties, who were waiting for them outside the Castle.

According to GB News' correspondent, Cameron, the Princess of Wales took a "very diplomatic role" after surviving a "difficult year" due to her ongoing health struggles.

Donald Trump and Melania Trump will conclude their four-day unprecedented state visit on Saturday, September 20.
