Shreyas Talpade believes things have 'changed for the better' in film industry

جنگ نیوز

Actor Shreyas Talpade opened up about observing Bollywood and Marathi film industries undergoing major changes in the past couple of years. He has worked in multiple Marathi and Bollywood hit movies including Iqbal, Om Shanti Om, and Golmaal 3, and that is why when comparing, Shreyas has observed that things have changed for the "better."

According to him, both of the industries are now far more open about exhibiting topics and stories that were once considered to be “taboos.” Shreyas is excited about this new realm of possibilities that have opened up. While talking to the Hindustan Times, he said:

“Certain subjects and issues, which were considered taboo in the past, have more acceptance now. Our consumption patterns and attention spans have changed over the years. You know that there’s an audience for every genre. So, today, you can go ahead and try new things. Things have changed for better in the film industry.”

Shreyas added more nuance to his argument and continued saying that he strongly feels that every filmmaker should aspire to make use of all the available resources, no matter what industry they are from. He further added:

“The only difference I have observed in both the industries is that of budget. But the kind of passion the filmmakers put in their work in both industries is very much the same.”

While talking about the new direction that the film industry is taking with the use of OTT to release films, Shreyas points out that it makes for “a great combination of theatre and films."
