Pakistani Muslim-immigrant, Mohammad Anwar died after two girls, ages 13 and 15, carjacked him in Washington, D.C. Moreover, the teenagers have been charged with armed carjacking and felony murder.
The 66-year-old was killed on Tuesday, last week. A video has also gone viral on the social media which shows how Anwar was brutally killed while making a food delivery.
He came to United States from Pakistan for a better life, he had a wife, three children and four grandchildren. His family in a statement said, “The family is devastated by this senseless crime. Mohammad Anwar was a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother, and uncle beloved by many here in the United States and in Pakistan, his birth country.”
The family added, “He was a hardworking immigrant who came to the United States in 2014, working tirelessly to build a better life for himself and his family. He chose happiness each day and it was infectious. The loss felt by his death is immeasurable and he is missed tremendously by family and friends.”
