Actor Akshay Kumar returns to the sets of his film Prithviraj, as COVID-19 restrictions ease in the city.
Sources from Pinkvilla claimed that the actor will be back on screen to shoot some VFX parts of the film.
Prithviraj is a historical film in which Akshay will play the role of the king Prithviraj Chauhan, who belonged to the Chahamana dynasty.
The film starred Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in lead roles. Manushi Chhillar will be making his acting debut in the film as Sanyogita.
Directed by Dr. ChandraPrakash Dwivedi and under the banner of Yash Raj films, the title of the film came under dispute. Karni Sena demanded the title of the film should be changed from Prithviraj to Hindu Samrat Veer Yoddha Prithviraj.
It was also claimed that the Rajput Society should be given the privilege to watch the film Prithviraj before it gets released for the general public.
Recently, Akshay was the raging topic on the news for casting Bhumi Pednekar in his film Raksha Bandhan. The film is slated to air in the third week of June.
After the release of the two films, Akshay will be back on the sets of Ram Setu, starring alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharrucha.
