Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the birth of their second child, baby daughter Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on Sunday. The couple welcomed their baby daughter on Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

In the light of the exciting news, the royal family including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate Middleton congratulated Harry and Meghan on the birth baby Lilibet Diana.

Her Majesty The Queen congratulated the couple in an official statement released by the Buckingham Palace via Instagram on Sunday. “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana!” the statement reads.

"The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news.”

The palace added that baby Lili joins an already large royal brood. “Lilibet is Her Majesty’s 11th great-grandchild.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton also took to their Twitter handle and expressed that they are “delighted” with the news of the arrival of the baby girl ‘Lili.’

Their tweet read, “We are delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”

Princess Eugenie also congratulated the newly become parents on the birth of their daughter ‘Lili’

Prince Harry and Meghan released a statement post-Lilibet’s birth in which, the two revealed the reason for the name, which read, “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales, Lady Diana.”
