Allah's Apostle (PBUH) used to say at
the time of difficulty, "None has the right to be
worshipped but Allah, the Majestic, the Most Forbearing.
None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Lord
of the Tremendous Throne. None has the right to be
worshipped but Allah, the Lord of the Heavens and the
Lord of the Honourable Throne.

Comments!
Dear Ed,
It is really nice to read light stuff
when all we get to read in the newspapers these days are
the same depressing news stories about bomb blasts and
killings. 'Funny signs in English' was really funny. But
'Chachi Begins' failed to tickle my funny bone, or
perhaps it's me who lack sense of humour.

Us a kiddy mag! No way!
Salam Eddi!
The issue of November 20 was great as
it was about my favourite movie! I have seen New Moon
and I must say it is a great movie. Kristen Stewart is
looking very cool in New Moon. Coming to the issue, I
want to appreciate Pinar Farooq's article. She is a good
writer, indeed.
Ed, I request you to stop publishing
'In you Aangan' because Us is supposed to be a kids'
magazine and publishing such material in it is not
appropriate. You know what I mean.
Some more requests in the end! Please
increase the number of pages and bring the 'Greetings'
page back. And yes, I want you to print Emma Watson's
poster in your rocking mag. Do publish my letter.

Query
Dear Eddi,
I am writing to you after quite a
long time. The issue of November 20, 2009 was awesome,
especially the article 'Menace of forward messaging' by
Mariam Naeem. 'Graffiti' was also good. Eddi, I want to
write a cover story but I don't know where to send it
and what is the words limit. So, please tell me the
words limit. Also, belated Eid mubarak to all the
readers of Us.
Roshaan Khan, Kohat
The word limit for a cover story is
1500-2000 words, and you can send it at us.mag@thenews.com.pk.
However, we'd really appreciate if you discuss your idea
before you start working on it.
Long live, 'Poets' Corner'!
Dear Editor!
I recently started reading your
magazine and I really loved it. The magazine provides us
with a lot of information and entertainment. I like all
the cover stories I've read so far, but the section I
like the most in your magazine is 'Poets' Corner'. In
the issue of November 20, 2009, someone suggested to
remove 'Poets' Corner'. I totally disagree with that
person. Ed, don't ever think of doing so, please. The
page is an excellent way of nurturing new talent and it
makes your magazine different from other youth
magazines. I'm sure there must be many other readers who
feel the same way about 'Poets' Corner'. I am writing to
you for the first time, so please don't disappoint me by
throwing my letter in your bin! Keep rocking!

Suggestions
Hey Ed!
This is my first letter, err, I mean
e-mail to any magazine. The mag is doing awesome, but I
have some problems with it. Firstly, please bring back
the poster page, and secondly, make the mag thicker. I
also have a suggestion: start a story in series form,
you know like one episode every week. I think that would
be an interesting addition to the mag. Anyway, you are
doing a good job. Keep it up.

Hi Ed!
I have a few requests and also some
comments for your mag. First of all, please print a
poster of Michael Jackson. I have noticed that your mag
hardly gives him any coverage, so I would really
appreciate if you print a poster of Michael Jackson as
well as articles about him every now and then. Secondly,
please try to increase the pages of the mag. Though I
really like Us the way it is, some little changes here
and there would make it much more interesting. Also, I
have noticed that 'The Green Room' is not a very
appealing section, so I request Sameen to bring some
changes in the page. Lastly, kindly stop printing these
ads as they kill the charm of the mag and make it really
unattractive. Since I am a huge fan of your mag, I will
always try to give you suggestions that I deem best for
the mag.

PS: Please don't forget to print
a poster of MJ and articles about him. Thank you!
