
Farhan Akhtar took to his Twitter to publicly call out everyone who is taking advantage of the tragedy prevailing in India by manufacturing and selling fake drugs against Covid-19.
After actor R Madhavan brought the issue to light recently, reports have developed depicting that this practice is very much happening in the Indian drug markets. With the second wave of the corona epidemic, the whole country is in a state of panic, which is proving to be beneficial for these fraudulent manufacturers.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor tweeted: "Seen a news report of people manufacturing & selling fake Covid medication. You have to be a special kind of monster to con people in these dark & desperate times.”
“Shame on you, whoever you are!!!" he added.
The tweet served to be a platform where hundreds of people narrated their own mishaps amid the pandemic about how they had to worry about the authenticity of the medicine or buy oxygen and medicines at overwhelmingly high prices. One netizen replied under the tweet:
“They don't realise that this pain and misery in their pockets which will haunt them later in life.”
