Mira Rajput came forward to play her role in helping those who need help amid the Covid crisis across India. Dia Mirza and Gauri Khan stood right behind the starlet in her struggle to raise awareness and funds in this time of need.
The second wave of coronavirus has reduced India to shambles with thousands of new incoming cases everyday and a dire scarcity of resources and hospital beds. In such desolate times, Bollywood stars have come forward to play an integral role in helping the needy by using their platforms correctly.
One of these stars is Shahid Kapoor’s wife, who went live on her Instagram to raise awareness about the existing fund relief programs and specifically talked about a COVID 19 relief fundraiser started by her sister and brother-in-law, Noor and Mohnish Wadhwani.
Mira explained that campaigns like Breathe For India and Billion Breath Movement are meant to aid hundreds and thousands of people by providing them with oxygen tanks and other resources to recover quickly. She wrote in the caption:
“Something that we all take for granted is the ability to breathe, access to oxygen. That fundamental right to oxygen is now a privilege for millions, and growing.”
Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan was impressed by Mira’s pitch and shared the video on her social media with a moving caption:
"Together we are stronger. With every breath we take, we have India in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers. We #BreatheForIndia. #BillionBreathMovement Great initiative by @mira.kapoor."
