Celebrities laud Dr. Yasmin Rashid’s dedication towards her job while battling cancer

Pakistan is currently witnessing the deadly third wave of coronavirus outbreak.

Amid the critical times, the Punjab health minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has been working day and night to control the situation in the country.

The lady has been receiving praise from the nation for working tirelessly and performing all her duties with dedication despite being a cancer patient.

Dr. Yasmin, 70, underwent a breast cancer surgery last year in December at Shaukat Khanum hospital. Doctors said that her surgery went well and now she is in a stable condition and is recovering on a good pace.

Recently, her pictures went viral on the internet in which, she can be seen resuming back on her duties despite being weak and unwell.

Dr Yasmin, who has lost all her hair during the chemotherapy session, has been still standing at the fore-front to fight the surge in coronavirus cases.

Praising her dedication, renowned celebrities, journalists, and social media users have lauded her for her efforts and prayed for her speedy recovery.

The celebrities include, former captain of the Pakistan Women Cricket Team Sana Mir, Adnan Siddiqui, Aijaz Aslam, Fakhr-e-Alam, Ali Zafar, Farooq Sattar, Nighat Daad and others.

While responding on the current situation, Dr. Yasmin shared updates on the pandemic and said, “We are increasing the reserved beds for Corona patients at government hospitals. We are now increasing the number of ventilators and oxygenated beds due to rising number of cases. The situation is being monitored on daily basis.”
